Hallen Construction has installed natural gas transmission pipelines for National Grid, Con Edison, Williams Pipeline, Spectra Energy and Iroquois GTS.
Transmission pipelines range in size from 12” to 36” and run at pressures that range from 350 psi to 1600 psi. These pipelines are constructed with heavy wall pipe and require highly qualified welding teams. All welds must be inspected and x-rayed, and the completed line must be cleaned, hydro-tested, dewatered and commissioned.
Hallen has completed many transmission pipelines in the highly congested areas of New York City’s five boroughs and installed transmission lines in remote areas where the traditional cross-country type installation is utilized.
