This work is for the electrical distribution grid which could be expanding the grid for reliability or replacing the aging conduit system or burying overhead lines for reliability.
This work typically requires trenching, excavation, conduit installation, backfill and roadway restoration. In addition to the conduit, precast concrete vaults are installed to accommodate cable splicing and pulling.
Depending on customer requirements, Hallen will partner with an electrical subcontractor to pull and splice cable. In some instances, the customer will pull and splice the cable in-house.
