Administrator, EHS – Field Safety

A leading northeast utility contractor is searching for a full-time EHS Field Safety Administrator. We are seeking a creative, highly motivated individual with strong communication skills. Roles and Responsibilities: The Field Safety Administrator reports directly to the Field Safety Manager. They function as a vital point person, assisting in delivering EHS training programs and verifying field safety compliance in coordination with Operations. They will champion the idea of Plan-Do-Check-Act, and foster human performance principles. They will assist in managing our safety equipment and verify calibration compliance. They will conduct daily onsite risk assessments, provide guidance and clarification on safety procedures for all crews, and drive continuous improvement in safety and wellness practices across all projects. The Field Safety Administrator’s responsibilities include the following:

The EHS Field Safety Administrator will provide functional support in delivering EHS initiatives:

  • Champion a culture of safety assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in pre- and post-accident investigation with an operational learning framework.
  • Conduct job site inspections and, when necessary, coach and document nonconformances.
  • Facilitate First Aid and Emergency Response classes (a train-the-trainer class will be offered).
  • Manage Hallen’s AED program and verify compliance with Quanta Services.
  • Assist the Learning and Development Team in employee onboarding.
  • Deliver ‘Toolbox Talks’ and continuously educate all employees.
  • Deliver HASPs and verify project onboarding for all field employees.

Requirements:

  • College degree
  • Must have a ≥3.0 GPA (if recently graduated)
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to commute to Queens, New York
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
