Position Overview:

The Coordinator, Legal & Risk, is responsible for ensuring subcontractor compliance, managing insurance documentation, and supporting policy enforcement across construction projects.  The ideal candidate will also serve as a backup for workers’ compensation and litigation case management.  This role provides support for the Legal and Risk team and collaborates with the Environmental, Health & Safety team, Estimating team, Special Projects team, and other internal teams as needed.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee subcontractor onboarding and prequalification processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of subcontractor compliance documentation.
  • Draft and aid in execution of subcontractor agreements for various projects.
  • Support the development, implementation, and communication of safety and risk-related policies.
  • Maintain version control and distribution logs for all policy documents, as well as maintaining a review schedule.
  • Issue and track certificates of insurance for vendors and clients.
  • Coordinate insurance renewals and ensure timely receipt of updated documentation.
  • Crosstrain to provide back up for litigation and workers compensation case management.
  • Other activities may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Prior legal or risk experience is a plus but is not required.
  • Must be highly accurate, have strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and have strong attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Must have the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and compliance construction contracts or insurance is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with frequent computer, tablet, cell phone, mouse, keyboard use
  • Alternating between sitting or standing as needed
  • Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping

Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000
