Position Overview:
The Administrator, Field Safety provides functional support to both safety compliance and field readiness within Hallen’s Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team. This role manages tool and equipment inventory, PPE procurement, calibration tracking, and site inspections. This role will work closely with Operational Supervision to verify that crews are using compliant, calibrated tools and following safety protocols. The position applies a Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach to drive continuous improvement and system accountability, supporting sustainable quality and safety management by identifying noncompliance issues, coordinating corrective actions, and maintaining reliable documentation. This role bridges technical oversight and field engagement to strengthen jobsite performance and compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Champion a culture of safety assurance and continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory and calibration compliance for mechanical tools and safety equipment.
- Coordinate repairs, replacements, and calibration renewals with vendors or internal resources.
- Oversee PPE procurement, inventory levels, and distribution to field teams.
- Conduct job site inspections and, when necessary, coach and document nonconformances.
- Manage Hallen’s AED program and verify compliance with Quanta Services.
- Deliver ‘Toolbox Talks’ and continuously educate all employees.
- Deliver HASPs and verify project onboarding for all field employees.
- Other activities that may be assigned by your manager.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The following credentials: CUSP; CHST; ASP or GSP are a plus.
- Ability to understand and discuss safety regulations and compliance standards with all levels of employees.
- Must be highly accurate, have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of employees and the ability to prioritize.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong Excel skills
Working Conditions:
- Office and site environment with frequent computer, mouse, keyboard use.
- Alternating between sitting or standing or walking as needed.
- Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping.
Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000
